I have been interested in photography for many years. I was born in 1957 in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), where I currently live. I have almost never made money from photography, so I consider myself an amateur photographer. Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (photography section). I started participating in various photo competitions and international photo exhibitions only in the last few years, so the list of personal photo achievements is quite modest: finalist of the 2nd B&W Athens Photography Festival (Greece, Athens 2024), finalist of the International Photography Exhibition 165 competition, which was held by the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain (2023), winner of the photo competition "Many Faces of Tuva" (nomination - "National Color", 2022). I have repeatedly exhibited my pictures in Yekaterinburg. Some photographs are in private collections in Russia and abroad, and a collection of author's slides with views of Sverdlovsk from the 1970s-1980s was donated to the Yekaterinburg History Museum. I prefer classic black-and-white film photography, I shoot with large and medium format cameras, but I do not ignore "color" shooting on film and digital cameras.
